Ready to buy a jag
Heh Guys
Just thought id join your forum and say hello. Been a jag lover for years and now ready to buy one for the first time. I joined this forum to get some good advice on my selection (XJS).
I can remember the first jags i started to notice were XJ6's and similar back in the 90's. From there i feel in love with the make and have been a dreamer ever since. I think if I had the cash Id own a few, especially an E-Type in Yellow!
Will try and post my purchase once i made my choice later on down the track, and then look forward to joining a local club and continue getting great advice.
Look forward to our chats

Welcome fellow Queenslander. I knew from the first post you were local, can't be more than one Dicky Beach.
XJ6 is a great car to draw you into Jaguar love.I know, I fell in love with the series 1's when I was 5 or 6 years old. Took me 40 years to get one though. Follow the links in my signature to see our local forums.
And add your name to the "roll call" thread while you are there.

Welcome to the forum paulyling,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
I can see you've already found your way to the XJS tech section so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
Good luck in the search for the right XJS for you and enjoy the forums.

Welcome to Jaguar Forums
What a smart move to "knowledge up" pre purchase. There is a learning curve ... often unique to each model or variant ... but it's not daunting. There are heaps of technical resources tucked away in relevant sections of Jaguar Forums... manuals and the like that you can download to aid your "homework". When these provoke questions, there are a raft of talented and experienced people who will share their knowledge and experience.
One such person I must nominate in respect to the V12 XJS, hails from Adelaide ... Grant Francis. He'll hate me for saying it, but there's not much around or within the XJS he doesn't know, hasn't replaced, or torn his knuckles in attempting to fix. Drop him a PM when you have clarified your research ... and I'm certain he'll be delighted to help.
Need help? ... yell!
Best wishes for your mission,
Ken

heh thanks man i really appreciate it
you guys are real friendly.
so keen to just go out and buy one now but have to wait at least a few month minimum so i can ask the right questions etc. on the big day lol!
As ive been in love with Jags now since i became an adult (whilst all my peers at the time loved American cars or Holdens! lol) i am excited that it is coming close to fruition.
I cant wait to post pics of my purchase when the time comes
stay tuned...
