Rear upper ball joint

Default Rear upper ball joint

I have been told by main dealer upper rear ball joints need replacing can you buy and replace just the ball joints

I've never heard of a rear ball joint. But there's Lots of things I've never heard of.

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

A Jaguar Dealer will only supply and fit a complete upper wishbone. They will not replace bushes or ball joints in aluminium wishbones. However, the parts are available if you choose to use an Independent or DIY. The rear suspension on your XF is similar to that on my XK. When faced with the same issue last year, I examined the wishbone and chose to replace rather than refurbish it. Steel sleeved bushes and ball joints have a reaction with aluminium over the years which can sometimes make repair unadvisable.

Hi it's a 2009 xf 3000 diesel sorry new to forum regards Gareth
