Greetings All. Thanks for allowing me to join your merry band of 'cats'.

My wife has always liked the first generation of XK8 - Topaz metallic roadster to be exact. Of course I would prefer the XKR but that is to be expected of the male of the species. My time will be spent searching the XK8 section to get a feeling for the reliability and know issues of the car, what years to focus on and which to avoid, market values, etc. Any help in pointing me in the right direction is greatly appreciated.

On the early model years look for information on tensioners, cooling system and 'sealed for life' transmission.
