Default searching for my new jag (xkr)

Hello everybody,

Just want to introduce myself before getting active on this forum!
I'm Mark, getting 37 in july this year.
For many years I'm a car enthusiast and especially porsches. I'm a member of the porscheforum.be from the first years it was online.
My car history, maybe thats a good way to start:
- opel corsa
- opel kadett convertible
- opel astra convertible
- peugeot 306 convertible
- mazda miata mx5 2000 nb
- lotus elise mk1
- porsche boxster '97
- porsche 914
- porsche 924
- lotus elise mk1
- porsche boxster 2003
- lotus elise mk1
- jaguar xk 4.2 convertible
- porsche 996 4s tiptr
- bmw z4
- porsche boxster S 3.4 295hp 2007

So lotus and porsches are the main thing in my car history buttt....several years I worked for audi and after that Landrover and Jag ;-)
Wenn I was working for Jaguar, I drove the xj 2.7 diesel and often the xk 4.2...also the range sport etc but thats another story. The first xkr cam out and I went to spain for the introduction of the new XF. Although I've driven for tests so many cars, the jag xk series and jag in general have always had a special place in my petrol beating heart!
The last car I had was the booster S with the 295hp engine. Nice and actually a fast car. 5.2-100km/h and a top of 275km/h. But every time I saw a xk, I don"t have to tell you guys hé.

So, now I have moved from belgium to spain and searching for a new ride....first I was going for so many things but now its still an xkr 4.2 or 5.0 going for the coup!
Saw so many youtube movies and the 4.2 is wauw but it seems that the 5.0 is actually going with the massive porsche 997 mk1 turbo in a straight.
So it will be an xkr but which one......

I hope this intro was ok and that I cleared something up concerning my history in cars :-)

the last few days I watched I think practically every youtube movie about the xkr....
The 5,0 is gaining more points for me at this moment! When I see the difference between the two, its not only the engine (yes more hp and torque) but also used inside materials etc.

I just found out that the xk is running at its last legs and that it will be discontinued. Prices can drop or rise? Actually that isn't bothering me (just watch prices of the porsche 997)

The thing is really like is the speedpack (exterior)! That can be retrofitted but to delete the speed limiter, is this also possible? In the beginning, I don't think I would like to go for a ecu tuning so the question is can it be done by the Jag dealer?
