Default SS100 Accurate Replica

Good Day Members,
My name is Simon Bruce-Webster living in South Africa. I was brought up in a Jaguar home raise by my grandpa, he owned a few Jaguars, a couple of 60's mark 2's and S type and a 80's XJ6. He also built a ss100 look alike car. I inherited this car but on further investigation, it was not economically viable for me to restore it. The 1936/7 SS100 is, in my opinion the most beautiful car ever built.

I subsequently made a decision to build an accurate S 100 replica. I've obtained and is is 100 chassis 18-inch Jaguar wire wheels, the girl's housing the seat frames and wooden frame, steering wheel and quite a few other bits and pieces. My project is just started, and I acquired a 1967 S type Jaguar as a donor car for the rear IRS and front suspension.

This project is my passion, and I would like to be as accurate as possible when I built the car from scratch.

Regards SimonLobster

Thank you for allowing me to join the forum and what I've seen so far, The forum is full of helpful information information looking forward to taking part in some conversations as I'm really new to this.

Welcome to the forums Simon,

That's some project to take on.

I suggest you start a "build thread" in Other Jaguar Models / Concepts / Replicas ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/o...s-replicas-13/ ) forum so members can follow your progress. As the donor vehicle is 1967 S Type, follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/m...40-daimler-61/ to the MKI / MKII S type 240 340 & Daimler forum for help, advice and information on the mechanicals.

Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.

Enjoy the forums and good luck with your project.

Graham
