Default (USA) What Credit Bureau Land Rover Financial/Chase Pull

Hi Guys,

I've began the process of shopping for my 16' XF-S and have financing in hand courtesy of my Credit Union. I may also look at leasing the car through Land Rover Financial which I believe is Chase. My question is for those of you that have leased/financed via this source which credit bureau did they pull?

Reason I am asking is because both my Equifax and Experian are clean and I won't have any issue getting financing there....however my Transunion has an account in it that is not mine which they are working to remove but in the meantime that account has sunk my score on TU 75 points below the other two. I have a credit freeze on TU until it's corrected so I can only use Experian and Equifax.

Thanks in advance for you assistance.

IIRC, Chase pulls Experian, however I was exactly the opposite as you and my Experian was lower than my Transunion/Equifax due to my churning hobby (A lot of hard pulls) so I froze Experian which forced a Transunion pull.

Thanks SovietKitsch for the response. Did you tell the finance dept that your Experian was frozen was did they just jump to another bureau on their own/automatically?

I didn't. I was auto-approved for the Jaguar financing at 2.9% for 60 months, but when I go to the dealership it was a different story and they said it was 3.9% or even more so then we started doing the shopping game and after all was said and done I had 0 Experian pulls with 1 denial letter from PNC Bank saying they were unable to access Experian, 5 pulls on TransUnion (The dealership twice, Chase, TD bank, and US Bank) and 1 on Equifax (Just the dealership). Ended up with a great APR that was actually below the 2.9%!

Wow...great job on the rate. I am good in that dept as well w my credit union, 2.49% which is the best rate they offer on a 60 month for their payment saver loan on a new car (traditional finance but with a balloon payment at the end so monthly payments are less upfront).

I know Jaguar is pretty lenient on financing. I was told by a few guys that to qualify for their specials all you needed was credit over 680. If you're below the 680, CU may be the way to go. If you're above that and don't need/want the balloon they may be able to offer 0.9% or 1.9%. If I got a 12 instead of an 11 that 2.9% would have been 0.9% or 1.9% depending on length.

SovietKitsch....I know I am over 700 (Fico). I believe my auto enhanced Fico is even stronger than that as I have a long perfect auto financing record and high income should Jaguar financial want that info. I am going back to the dealer early next week and will apply for their financing and let u guys know what happens.

Default Got it!

So i pulled the proverbial trigger and purchased a 2016 XF-S, Italian racing red with the black rims and black interior loaded. For those of you stateside, I financed via Pentagon Federal Credit Union (they pull Equifax only). They have a financing program called "Payment Saver Car Loan"....basically your payments are based on about 70% of the cars value then you have a balloon payment at the end.I got 2.49% interest rate for 60 months. At the end you can finance the balance or sell at that point. You own the car and so are not limited to miles and increased insurance rates as with a lease. Works for me, Happy motoring mates!!!
