Good afternoon all!
Does this tale sound familiar to anyone?
1 x 1990 Jaguar XJS 5.3l V12 on ebay, slightly dodgy pictures, not much on the item description.
Well after not really thinking about it i put in a bid and lo and behold it's now mine, much to my surprise. So on monday i got on a train to collect her, and then spent the 80 mile jorney back laughing my socks off. What a fantastic machine, i have a good mind to remove the cd player and replace the cavity with a tray as the engine sounds lovely, a little muted for my taste maybe but you know it's there don't you.
I own a lotus elise and that is tremendous fun to drive, fast furious and down right cheeky. The jag however as soon as i sat in it the world becomes a much more peaceful place, where you can unwind and watch the world go by. There was a CD left in the CD player by the previous owner, and it was very much billie holiday type music. Normally i would of thrown this in the bin but it really suited the drive home so i will keep it in there.
Ok she's not going to win any awards but i don't care it's my first Jag so let's see how the relationship blossoms.
Looking forward to posting on the forum.
Simon
