Alright everybody, proud to say I'm the owner of a new to me 2015 F-Type R in BRG metallic. I've been looking for this year and color combo for some time. Combine that with excellent maintenance history (amazing how many owners skip out on that first early oil change) and a California car with an underside you could eat off of and I had to pull the trigger. I couldn't be more happy with my purchase, but my wife on the other hand, wellllllll... let's just say she's less than thrilled. Anyone else experience this? Tips for thawing the ice are greatly appreciated. In the meantime, here's a pic of my new toy on an early morning canyon run in the Santa Cruz mountains. Hello,
Congratulations on your new F-type Jaguar!
You don't mention exactly WHY your wife is displeased. If it's because of the money, you might mention that this car is a Lot cheaper than another woman. Or, that as long as you're in the garage caressing and polishing it she knows exactly where you are. Or, you *Could* let her drive it, showing the Ultimate peace offering. If you do that however, be prepared that you might never get it back. If it's the Time you spend with it, take her along on the next fun trip.
I'll be the first to admit that None of these suggestions might work. If that's the case, you'll have to seek help somewhere else.

Thanks for the tips! And thanks everyone for the wam welcome! Apparently I made the cardinal sin of getting myself a gift without getting her one. She says something from Tiffany's will suffice. Not a bad trade. Looks like we'll be making a trip to Union Square in San Francisco to get this sorted out. But you can bet we'll be taking the B roads
