Hello Everyone,
I have just bought a Jaguar XKR 2008 model (58 Reg). Full caramel leather including dash. Plus got the dealer to swap the aluminium trim for classic burr walnut trim!
The only problem is that the car does not have DAB Radio. So I thought I would add a bluetooth adapter but the car did not come with the original iPod link lead. I do not wish to plug anything into the cig lighter socket. I have bought two cables (part numbers 8X2T-14588-AA & 9X23-19h461-AA) off eBay but the system does not recognise the Portable Audio Device. Have tried an iPhone 3 (directly with the 30 pin connector) and an iPhone 5 and iPhone7 with the apple 30-pin to lightning adapter. Clearly the 2008 model has a unique cable. I am tearing my hair out. I have seen that there is a guru named Cambo from Oz. I hope he or any other member who understands my problem sees this and gives me some advice.
Many thanks
William

Hello Graham: I have got in touch with Cameron Knight. He has pointed out that I have a more basic problem. There is no Portable Audio button on my audio screen, which means that there is a problem with the Portable Audio Interface.
Any ideas on who might be able to help. I live in SW London. Chiltern Jag who sold it are willing to take a look but they are in High Wycombe which is a bit inconvenient.
Best

Chiltern Jag have a good reputation and crucially, the essential diagnostics to investigate this problem. Unless you can find an independent with the knowledge of Cameron, it could get expensive. I would go back to them in the first instance.
