Unhappy XF boot locked

Hi everyone, any ideas?
My management panel says my boot is open and as a consequence I can't use the keyless locking system. The problem is my boot "is" locked and in fact I can only open it with the emergency key.
I now have to lock my car with the emergency key.
Thanks.

Welcome.

I suggest a quicky repost in the XF section where I believe the answers will flow.

Not familiar with the XF, bt the S Type has a micro switch "inside" the lock that tells the system the status of that lock, and it sometimes goes AWOL. A simple spray of Silicone Spray into the lock has sorted one of mine.

Welcome to the forum LunarXf,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

The luggage compartment latch/motor unit has a 'ajar switch' on the RH side. it could be as simple as this switch not closing (misaligned or dirty).

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xf-xfr-x250-44/ to the XF/XFR forum for help, advice and information.
