My XK8 convertible from 2003 is my pride & joy but showing a few electrical annoying tricks.
1 Pax seat headrest motor keeps cutting in & out for no apparent reason
2 Wing mirrors no longer adjust.
3 Driver window inches down each time the outside door handle is operated but does not return up.
4 Steering wheel up/down position often needs resetting.
5 " Driver intervene " message sometimes shows when not in cruise control.
Any comments please.

The window auto drop/lift losing it's set positions is a classic symptom of a failing battery. Check and eliminate this before troubleshooting other electrical issues.

To put it into "sleep mode" (thus reducing drain on the battery by shutting down all but essential systems), the ignition key should be removed and the vehicle locked. Easy to forget this when the car is in a secure garage.
Many members use a CTEK charger to keep the battery in peak condition on a Jaguar which isn't used regularly.
