Dealer pre end of warranty check + FREE MOT + mini service
Ok guys, so here we are.....
Just got my car back around 11 am today and sooo glad to have her back. I wasn't particularly keen on the 2.0 tdi sline they gave me....nice car but the ride is a little harsh for my liking.
My SE with the 19" rims is just soooo smooth in comparison.....just my preference, must be getting old
Here's a listing below of work carried out and the costings involved.....
Carry out FREE visual and pre end of warranty health check
Carry out Audi FREE MOT....
Replace rear light clusters ( 9th set ) due to condensation - WARRANTY
Repair drivers window switch - WARRANTY
Repair rear seat belt connector - WARRANTY
Rplace battery, due to starting issues ( 3rd or 4th battery ) - WARRANTY
Carry out mini service to include oil filter, fuel filter, pollen and air filter, change oil and change brake fluid.
The MOT passed with flying colours, all warranty work completed & mini service done, including 3 day courtesy car ( no charges - usually £15 per day for insurance purposes )
Total cost incl labour / parts +VAT = £168.76
I was called several times updating me on the progress of the work both by the Audi Mastertech & the service advisor.
For the work carried out, the warranty items replaced, the mini service AND the service offered I was COMPLETELY satisfied and more!
I also confirmed they're committment to offering £200 contribution towards my "paint corosion" problem on the drivers side door sill area to which they agreed as and when I get the work done.
Kudos to the dealer I say

Yep, tell me about it
Having said that most people with the issue either never got any or maybe a set, thats it.....What can I say.....I don't tend to take no for an answer!
Anyway, car looks and runs great right now, so its all good

Norri - to be honest if it were to happen in the next few months I'd be confident on getting some dealer contribution
As it happens though, I've checked out the removal procedure ( very technical set up ) and will probably remove them myself, dry them out and silicone seal them when I reinstall if necessary
It is a very poor design and has afflicted hundreds / thousands of Audi's......no one's perfect my friend not even the Germans

Hey Norri,
I believe that Audi, like any other manufacturer has its issues here n there, both with new models / designs and certain areas that are problematic.
To be fair though, in any discussion I've had with the dealer on any issues they've stepped up and offered warranty.......so can't complain too much
