Above is a link to an eBay ad, in which someone is trying to sell a 1995 Lincoln that has been converted to a Bentley Arnage.

And we thought it was bad if Chrysler 300 drivers thought they were Bentleys.

I have still yet to track down "PRESTIGOUS CLASSICS" in a Google search, but I'd like to have a word with them.

Yes, I realize the car is listed as a "replica" and a "tribute", but seriously!?!

My favourite part is "Not once has there been a question of doubt as to it's originality, even to other Bently owners. " I hope they mean it's originality as a fake Bentley

 

hahaha they seriously think its a Bentley, the description made me laugh soo hard! So the title of it say's its a Bentley?

 

First Chryslers then now it's Lincoln's turn to Bentley ?

I wonder while they change everything but the door mirrors ?

At least they didn't bother Phantom just Bentley lol

 

The ghetto wheels were the crowning touch.

Bentleys used to be classy cars until the baller and rapper crowd got ahold of them. Now mostly they're riced out beyond all recognition.

It's just another glorious thing brought to us via the magical world of eBay. I'd like to hear the Arnage owners criticize it.

 

Considering that a 1995 Towncar with 127,000 or so miles goes for about $2K, the current bid of around $15K is exceedingly generous. The seller must be on crack if he thinks he is going to get anywhere close to $30K.

My god. It's not even well done either. It looks plastic, cheap and it doesn't fit very well. The proportions are all off and it definitely looks like an amateur designed the rudimentry body kit.

Aside from that A for effort (that person had to work hard to earn the $$ to sink into that mistake).

 

I've a sneaking feeling if Messrs. Bentley found out about this vehicle with all the original Bentley decor (mascot, air-force wings etc.) somebody might find themselves in court!
At one time, you were prosecuted if you altered the external appearance of your Roller apart from color. RollsRoyce and Bentley were the same company for quite a while. Suppose it all changed with the Beatles...

p.s. The prices asked for cars on UK E-bay are now regarded as a joke. No-one is buying them. You see the same cars coming up month in, month out.

 

Would anybody, other than a Pimp or drug dealer even consider buying something like this ?
