Question Kitty Needs a New Ride!!

Hi guys, looking for some advice, I've been surfing the net and looking local- but jags still make me heartsick... I'm planning to go tonight and look at a C class Mercedes and an Audi (along with a couple mainstream SUVs) does anyone have any advice/experience with those models?

Rental is a 2013 Chrysler 300-- lots of bells and whistles!

I think the winner is an 05 Audi A4 2.0 Quattro AWD, miles are a little high but it was the first one I enjoyed driving.

No experience with either - do have a MB CLK430 convertible - which the CLKs are nice (not my choice of car). It does have more rear seat leg room than my XK8 but considerably less trunk space. I'm sure the coupe is roomier. From a forum perspective - the MB forums are no where near as friendly, informative and supportive as this forum! Not a single welcome and the answers I received to tech questions were "buy a subscription to STAR" or no reply at all.

The Audi looks to be quite nice.

Hey Kitty, good choice!

I have an Audi A6 from new now approaching 6 and a half years old with 107k on the clock.......she's been a good car and still runs very well today with regular maintenance.

Plenty of decent Audi forums around too!

Looks good Kitty.

A general check on Autotrader will show you that with servicing these cars are capable of 'mega' miles.

After driving several Mercedes- I've settled on the Audi- but not that one, it's a small car lot and he balked when I asked when I could take it to my own mechanic- giving me a list of shops he worked with-or else my mechanic could come look it over- I said no thank you and won't be back. There are lots of audis in my area.

And regardless, I plan to still come bug y'all first.

Good for you Kitty and good choice too.....

Remember - don't be a stranger here just because you no longer have a Jaaaaaag....lol

Don't forget the pics of the new ride, put them up into the other rides section and show her off when you get her sorted.

Best
Jim

Thanks Jim! Even though I haven't been around much- many of you feel like big brothers or trusted uncles.
