The guy wearing the black color sequence sport jacket with a sheer mesh see-through shirt underneath is the person in charge of this campaign. And he is a gay man. Thus, pushing and highlighting gay/trans through Jaguar.
My question to you is this, why is it that Jaguar the upper executives the gay man and the black sequence sparkly sport jacket feels compelled to highlight and push the gay/trans agenda. You are right The Jaguar brand is for everyone. So why not leave it just generic, instead of heightening the level of the DEI gay/trans agenda. I never saw a commercial of any type that highlighted and promoted heterosexual lifestyles. Because it's not necessary so I was never done. Everyone knows gay and trans people exist. But there's no need to shove it in your face. I say live and let live but don't shove it down my throat. That's not cool.
Are you talking about someone in the ad itself or a different person? Are you talking about the brand director? OK but he's not in the ad. Are you saying that because Jaguar hired a gay person they're pushing a gay agenda? Because there are millions of gay people all over companies.
I just looked this up: Apple's CEO is gay. CEO of Dow Chemical is gay. CEO of Land o Lakes is gay. CEO of United Therapeutics is gay. That's just the openly gay CEO level.
I am at some kind of disconnect that you guys are connecting. let me try to follow:
Jaguar has a gay brand director, therefore Jaguar is pushing a gay agenda?
I have yet to have anyone seriously explain how the Jaguar ad is gay or trans. There's no text that suggests that. You're just seeing bright colors and saying "Gay agenda"! Which I don't understand. Do gays own bright colors now? Barren landscapes? Rip off of David Bowie and Start Trek videos?
I mean most of you guys are my age - and I know we all rocked out to guys wearing big hair, ripped jeans, bright colors, and makeup in bands like Bon Jovi, Poison, Ratt, Twisted Sister and so on and so forth. Was that the gay agenda or is it now the gay agenda?
No one is shoving gay or trans people down your throat in -this- Jaguar ad. Which one of the actors in the ad is gay? Can you tell me? I tried looking it up but can't find their names. Of the 5 or six actors which one is the gay one? And what's the gay agenda they are trying to push? There's no homosexual acts or anything like in many other ads I've seen.
As far as never seeing heterosexual ads? Oh come on - every ad with a family sitting down with a mom/dad/kids is by default a heterosexual ad.
Companies that have made gay ads: Coke, Diesel, Colgate, Starbucks, Abolute, Campbell Soup, Nordstrom, etc - these all feature gay couples or even gay couples with kids. Def gay. Pushing a gay agenda? Maybe. Trying to say "hey gays! spend your money with us!" Definitely.
But to make the Jaguar ad "gay" you have to believe that these characters -are- somehow gay. And how do we make that connection? Oh they're dressed like spacemen and look weird, therefore they are gay.
To me that's a huuuuuuge reach.
Now is Jaguar abandoning tradition and their historically male, middle to upper middle class, sports car or luxury car driving audience? I mean I can certainly see that - though this is just a new concept car launch, not an entire ad campaign around a new vehicle, so a lot of that is yet to be seen.
But if they had created an ad featuring a middle class white dude in a tweed coat and walking stick driving his Jaguar down a country lane to go bird hunting - talk about an infitesimally small audience....there would be crickets.
As for me, I dont care about advertising. If I like a car I buy it. I appreciate the heritage of Jaguar, but can also see that they're never going to make another XKE.
Their only two options that I see in an already crowded market (especially with a brand that isn't known for being reliable, and Jags have never been able to shake the unreliable aspect): Move towards the Luxury EV segment (which it seems they are doing), or fully embrace the Supercar market and come out with a massive engined almost purebred race car like a McLauren or Ferrari. The middle ground is saturated and Jag lost that gamble by failing to adapt or break free of their "unreliable" character.
Neither of the above two can I afford. I don't even buy new cars because I'm too cheap to take the tax and devaluation. And too broke anyway.
The plan on the macro level—to move upmarket and abandon the internal-combustion engines that, for cars like the F-type and F-Pace SVR, have been one of its brightest spots—is a source of concern. And Jaguar's rebranding makes some mistakes. The "JaGUar" font adorning the front and rear ends of the Type 00 frankly looks silly with its hodgepodge of uppercase and lowercase letters, and the circular logo containing a "J" and an "r" brings to mind the abbreviation for "Junior" tacked on after surnames. The classic "growler" logo depicting the face of a jaguar will be sorely missed, the smooth, modern new logos not carrying the same amount of personality.
...
It's easy to forget about a brand that only sold several thousand cars in the U.S. last year and has been, for much of the past decade, in steady decline. The shock at the transformation was entirely understandable. It's the anger that is less understandable, especially "anti-woke" and homophobic comments on the relaunch video's use of bright colors and haute couture fashion.
...
Jaguar is trying to capture younger, wealthier, and more style-focused buyers, with plans to establish stores in high-end luxury shopping districts in cities such as Paris and London. A large part of the rebrand and reveal of the Type 00 is simply getting the brand reestablished in the minds of potential customers. The Type 00 was designed to generate hype, and this is probably the most attention Jaguar has gotten in the U.S. in decades, and possibly ever. On those fronts, the Type 00 succeeds. It may not rival the E-type's elegance or beauty, but it makes a statement that Jaguar has a future and that the path forward will be a different one.
So after all of the arguing and such, Jaguar released a statement
it was a joke.
“Jaguar has revealed it was ‘only joking’ after its radical rebrand and the hugely anticipated public debut of its Type 00 concept car.”
“The insider later admitted the next all-new electric Jaguars would in fact take the form of a mildly facelifted F-Type with a massive battery shoved under the bonnet provisionally named FE-Type, a small run of hydrogen-fuelled continuation XJS models dubbed H-Type, and a load of restomodded C-Types with modern supercharged V8s.
“We’re just gonna keep playing all the stone-cold classics until this entire lark falls in on itself. It’s what the public wants,” the insider added, with a sigh.”
Insiders admit they were just ‘throwing it out there, got you haha’

No one is shoving gay or trans people down your throat in -this- Jaguar ad.
With all the trans "dance" shows in front of children, where they are dressed as flamboyant, it's apparent that they want to shove their "agenda" down the throats of their audience. Just because they have personal desires doesn't mean that 99.95% of the world has to accept it, or like it.
Same point regarding David Bowie from 50 years ago, and the recent freakish Jaguar ad.

Creepy is creepy.
I think you'd have a point....if:
Jaguar said anything about "this ad features gay, trans, LGTBQIZRGKX124+ whatever" in it.
Or if that gay Brand Director said "This ad features gays/trans! We're celebrating them!"
or if any of us even knew the sexuality of -any- of the people in the ad.
Because if they were pushing a trans/gay agenda you can bet your last dollar Jaguar's gay brand director would be touting it from the rooftops about how gay the gay actors are in the silly ad.
But there's been not a peep about that.
Y'all are guessing they must be gay because they're wearing bright colors and look funny - but they are actors. That's it.
I mean if it was a gay agenda Jaguar would have hired famous gay /trans actors to be in the ad - like Bud Lite did by hiring a known trans activist. Because we all know if Jaguar was trying to be thhhuuuper gay with the ad, and didn't hire Gay actors, the Gay mafia would be ROASTING them online about hiring straight people to portray gay people.
So just that tells me Jaguar didn't intend for the ad to portray sexuality at all. As C/D pointed out it's a take off of haute-couture and the high fashion houses and design, mixed with a bit of spaceman.
Jaguar could very easily have hired gay actors, then proclaimed how gay they were. Instead they hired a bunch of nobodies who, for all we know, are as straight as a ruler and have 4 kids each and long-term marriages.
If anyone can tell me who the actors are in the ad and how gay or straight they are I'll eat my hat.
Hi Guys, I'm going to throw something out to all of you, regarding the Gay/Trans agenda.
How is Christianity and Islam different from the Gay/Trans movement.
Its not different at all, its the same.
Please let me explain my theory.
The Christianity religion was established, after the death of Jesus.
How did Christianity expand and spread throughout the world. The gospel was spread by the apostles. Christianity religion grew and grew and grew.
Approximately 600 years A.D. islam was created by Muhammad the prophet. Same thing, Islam was spread by by the Islamic conquest by the Ottoman Empire. Islam then became a major religion.
The Gay/Trans agenda is no different. It is a minority group that has set it's goals to increase their population and increase their influence within society by overtly promoting the Trans movement. I dont need to go into detail on how and where its being done, since all of you are aware of the Pro Transgender propaganda being injected into society.
This group does not wish to be a minority group. They want to spread out the same as religion. In closing, I believe that the Gay/Trans movement is the lefts new religion and orthodoxy. I did not say anything negative or derogatory about the Gay/Trans movement. I only made the comparison of this group with organized religion.
PS saying what I said here in my post doesn't make me a hater. It doesn't make me anti-gay. I just made a comparison between religion and the Trans agenda.
It's hilarious watching a bunch of people **** their pants at the idea that someone that is different from them might be used to sell a product to anyone.
Weird looking is a guy in a dress?? jAgUaR iS tHReaTenIng mY vERy EXiSteNcE!!!!!!
Trans guy used to sell sh!tty beer?? BoYcOtT!!!!!! ThAt Ain"t mE!!!!!!
What a bunch of sad snowflakes you guys are. Couple of TV commercials forcing you to LOOK AT people presumably not like yourselves and you whine like 4 year old girls.

A normal gay person is just a normal gay person. So, who really cares about that?
But an ad that looks like the creepy, pedophile tranny world is going to turn people off. If you like the ad, maybe it's just the world you live in.
Taco Jill tried the same at the White House with her clown shows that attempted to be a Christmas display. She's blind also and sold out to the 0.05% freaks.
I could care less what Jaguar does with their marketing but I'm not going to buy their product if it becomes popular with the pedophile crowd.
I don't know what was going on in that video roasting Jill Biden, or the new Jaguar ads either.
Makes me wish I had tuned in during the LSD days.....or not.
I JUST DON'T GET ANYTHING ABOUT THIS STUFF!!!!!!
Well, the Leaper is facing the wrong way. I hope the new cars have a good reverse.
Although I'm getting used to a Leaper facing the wrong way...
The whole point of a Jaguar is that it's a Cat. By Sir William Lyons (LOL)
Anything else ... make up your own new brand.
P.S. watch Gerry McGovern on Youtube (former Landrover designer now Jaguar). That guy is humourless and worried. He should be.
(in large part because he's just talking crap, as though he's the owner of the term "modern")

I couldn't care less if some Jocular wants to **** their pants.
Jaguar is a car marque. It's the queers leading Jaguar who hi-jacked it into another unrelated agenda.
UNRELATED. or should be.
Again: what if I simply want to drive an elegant car with a dose of (old-fashioned?) British understatement but no political statement?
Admittedly, to me these DEI and LGBTQ+ crusaders want to convey a political message, including the arrogant accusation against anyone who does not follow suit to be homophopic, racist, right-wing, … you name it. What if I know that I am neither of that but still have a genuine dislike against sexual orientation being brought to the marketplace (not to write “street”)?
And if you don’t see the political loading of the intended repositioning - watch the new marketing manager’s video on youtube.
And consider this: apart from its political component (whether you call it “woke” or not) - I do have reservations w.r.t. the commercial wisdom underlying their moves. To me (as somebody with a track record in business including - but not limited to - marketing and sales) this campaign just doesn’t make any sense.

Looking forward to seeing Raw D Lover, the creative director and brand director kicked out. There's still time to revert this and save the company.
Imagine if Jag came back and did a U turn, resumed ICE development focused on synthetic fuels and hybrid technology exploring the loophole created by the EU in response to Porsche's appeals? See my posts in the Harry Garage's Review thread for context.

That would be nice but liberalism is a mental disorder. So, the only way a change towards normalcy will be made is by force.
