fs=1997 XK8 Coupe, $4,500
Northern California, salvage title, some issues but drives well. Wouldn't sell but getting an "R". More pixs upon request.
PRICE REDUCED
$3,999, that's right THREE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED NINETY NINE dollars
I have the replacement on its' way and don't have room for 2 XK8/Rs so I am lowering the price to make it irresistible. Especially to those of you who don’t have an XK8/R and love the styling of these cars, especially the coupes. I've heard various ratios, from 1/3 to 1/8 are coupes, a minority, but stunning looks, a classic someday soon or perhaps already! Don't miss this opportunity.

There are some relatively minor issues that I haven't had the time to address. I'm not sure what the state of the upper tensioners is but I do have replacements, just not investigated nor installed if needed. The right hand cam cover has a repaired crack that leaks a very small amount of oil onto the header, never reaches the ground. I've got a new/used cam cover and all the gaskets for both sides so it was my intention to replace it and check/replace the tensioners at the same time. The passenger window does not home properly, guess it might be the discussed micro switch issue as it goes up and down fine but does not return to full up after the door is closed, but will manually. There is a 3-4 second lag when the transmission goes into drive, but then it fully engages. I've had a local tranny shop evaluate it and his opinion is that it is not the A-drum reinforced by the fact that it shifts fine once it’s in drive, no slip up/down, no problem. There is no lag when reverse is selected, just drive. One buddy suggested that is sounded like a shift valve might be sticking and to that end I’ve got a transmission pan gasket set and filter but have not gone the next step.
So there the litany and you might ask why haven’t I fixed most of these issues, the bottom line is that none of these have kept me from enjoying the car, both from the undeniable striking styling (I smile every time I look at it) and the pleasure of driving this Cat.

Uh, maybe due to the salvage title and mechanical issues....

Yes, of course, but the car runs, actually quite well. I would think there would be someone that is project oriented who would want an inexpensive XK8. Guess it hasn't gotten cheap enough yet.
It was an emotional buy for me, couldn't resist the looks of the coupe and as I said, it drives well. So. if there's someone out there that is of a similar mind, PM me with an offer, don't be concerned about insulting me, that's already happened via a quote from CoPart.
My "R" is arriving in about a week, no more space, so this has got to go...

Not that it matters it seems, but there were a couple responses to this post, the car has been SOLD...locally, which I preferred to do anyway. My new, to me, '03 R will arrive this weekend, I'm very much looking forward to it!
