Anyone out there parting out their 2001 XJR? I need the right side bolt on (no welding) Catalytic converter (without flex) and it must be a California (CARB approved) model since I am in California. I am told by Jaguar that the cat off the same year XKR is the same part. I have been unable to find any of these new. The company DEC says they manufacture replacements, but when I bought one it hit the bell housing, so I returned it.

I have both cats from a 99 XJR with only 55K miles. They're the bolt on ones and in great shape.

Would the donor car have been a California car originally? The cats have to be CARB (California Air Resources Board) approved in order to pass test smog here.

No, but I've never heard of Jaguar making special cats or any other parts just for California.

1. Is the right cat for a '99 the same as one for an '01?

Since they have the 2 bolt flange, they're the same.

$350 shipped each or $600 shipped for both.

I did some checking today and found out that your cats won't fit my car. If your car was made in 2000 we would have been good to go.

No problem. I wasn't aware there were different cats with the 2 bolt flange design for essentially identical cars , other than the slip fit ones.
