Jack my passenger side (UK) or yours? My left or right if I'm sat in the car looking forwards?

I forgot that you guys drive on the wrong side of the road..... Your driver's side. Your right side if you are sitting in the car.

The point is to raise the coolant tank a bit and make the heater valve higher than the lowest point.

Take care,

George

Don't worry about bleeding the inter-coolers. They will bleed fine on their own. I have never removed the big hex plug and I am at 98K miles.

I have found the STR does a good job of getting the air out with a few heat and cool cycles. Just keep checking the top tank and adding coolant as needed. After about 4 or 5 days I am usually done.

I'm not the Doctor on these cars, but... the Antifreeze or coolant should be Orange. If it was blue, that might be your problem or a serious contributor to your problem.

I did thermostat + water pump as advised, and flushed out the green/blue coolant to replace with the proper spec orange. Took a few miles and a few small topups to fully bleed but seems to hold a level now. This has brought the running temp (as read from test mode on console) down to around 98-101C which I believe to be acceptable. I do note that the fan seems to be on high quite often when stationary at the lights etc though.

Lightbulb

Please see
Go LPG - Common X350 faults
They blame the thermostat housing.
Hope it is the same as in your S-Type.

BTW for which brand of gas equipment did you install ?
Were there any additional components installed ?

Cheers

Do you have a source for discounted factory parts? You will need it! Here in the US we have a forum sponsor that treats us pretty well. 15% off list and free shipping for anything over $25 plus no sales tax.

Where do we get this discount/parts from? I am in need of a new DCCV valve!

Check around but I found Amazon pretty competitive on price for the DCCV. Remember there are only 2 styles for ALL Lincoln LS and Jaguar S Types. 3 hose and 5 hose versions.

Just be sure to get the right one for your car.
