Default 2005 STR suggestions?

Look at what I just got yesterday... A BLACK ON BLACK 2005 S-TYPE R! Sounds better than any Mustang or Hellcat, for sure. Any common performance upgrades, besides the standard engine stuff like ARP head/connecting rod bolts, supercharger pully swap, injectors, and fuel pump?

Nitrous or twin screw is the only way to go for huge power gains

First get all of the car working (Currently any problems?) and all the maintenance done. Has the transmission fluid been changed? Coolant? Brake fluid? Power Steering? What condition are the brakes in? The car has around 23-25 rubber coolant hoses and they are ALL beyond replacement at this time. Consider getting it done or one will fail then another and then another. SC oil changed? Rear diff oil changed? Suspension bushings and rubber boots will all be very worn at this point.

Now the biggest issue? Can you DIY any of this? That is really the key to owning a used Jaguar.
I had a 2005 STR and it was a great car and I had little to no problems BUT I did have to keep it up.

exactly. I have an 06 str and love it. I have done everything myself except wheel alignment and tire changes. And that is because i do not have the equipment. If you self wrench that is super. If not. Have 6 to 8 grand ready for outside parts and labor

Best way to more power on these cars is a twin screw supercharger kit (over 600bhp).

Same way, via OBD. You can run twin screws without remapping though with an aftermarket MAF (has a custom transfer function to prevent reaching the airflow limit), or standalone ecu if budget allows.

Sir, on the denso ecu? Have you done it?
standalone would imply new tcm, new cluster, new immobiliser, new door module...
