Sorry if this has been on the forums dozens of times, I tried searching but didnt find a specific answer. IF anyone can link me the solution or has an opinion I would appreciate it.
My ac blows outside air temperature air, so i thought to recharge the ac. Put the gauge on the low pressure side and was getting 45 psi. This was with engine on and AC on max. I do hear the compressor turn on and off when I turn AC on and off, so I think its working. Any thoughts?

Have you checked to see if your DCCV is leaking. Do you smell anything burned in the passenger cabin (ie: CCM).Originally Posted by notanexpert

I had that replaced last summer. there isnt any leaking in that area or smell.

DCCV fails all the time, even new ones and you could have internal leaks in it. Follow the link I gave you and you will find the problem.

To be honest, it stopped cooling a long time ago. It was gradual though. That is what made me think it was just loosing r134a, but when I checked it was at 45 psi. Ive never put freon in it. Only has 70k miles and ive done 20k of those.

Even though you replaced your DCCV last year, check it again as detailed in post #2 in the guide.
After that, drive down the selected temperature until LO is displayed. This puts the system in manual mode and bypasses some of the sensors. This will provide some big clues for troubleshooting.
The 45 psi you’re seeing? That tells me you’ve got some cooling. The trick is determining if the system is physically capable of going cooler, or if a bad command is at fault.
Low refrigerant is a possibility, but I’m not 100% sold on that. Before you rush out and have it serviced, make sure the compressor clutch isn’t slipping. Details of a quick way to check are in the guide.
