Default Changed brake pads now gearbox and abs lights are on

Ughhhhhhhh, please help me if anyone knows what I might have done. Today I decided to change the brake pads on my wifes stype. Got in the car to test them and the abs light as well as the gearbox fault light came on. Shifting into reverse wasn't hard but when I did it the car really jerked as well as when I tried to put in back in drive.

Any ideas on what I might have done and what I need to do.

Thank you in advance,
Rob

Actually there are more lights on. Not sure why I just posted those.

The message center says-Gearbox failure, ABS fault and DSC not available

The lights that are on are-Battery light, check engine light, traction control, ABS and I think it's the airbag(seatbelt with a ball in front)

Lordie what did I do.

By chance did you unhook the battery for any reason when doing the brake job?
Good luck!

No, I dind't unhook the battery at all. I did unhook once all these lights came on to see if it would reset them.

One other thing, my radio and nav screen won't turn on.

How the heck could I have done all this while changing the brake. (pulling the little hair that I have)

I'm wondering if I hit something in the trunk when I was taking everything out to jack the car up. Any ideas?

Against my better judgement I took the car out around the area and the lights all went off, the radio came back on and almost everything is good. The check engine light stayed on and it's never been on. Ran up to Autozone and it gave me a Transmission something came up. I have it written down but my wife took the car and it's in there. Some good news, potentially bad other news. Hopefully it will go away with a few miles on the car.

With all the lights and such, I believe your battery drained some. Those are sure signs of a battery problem. How old is the battery?

Everything is working fine now. I'm not sure what the heck I did.

Battery is about 11 months old so it's not that. Hopefully I don't have something lying in the weeds waiting to break down on me.

Did you leave the key in the ignition (even switched off) while working on the car? If you do, the car senses it's there and consumes more power than you might expect

youproboly pulled the wire to the wheel speed sensor when you flipped up the calipers. The wheels spped sensor lead is the wire clipped to the brake hose.. Thats my long distance sight unseen diag. The fact that it didnt stay is cause once the abs recieved a signal from the offending sensor. the lights go out. Trans needs vehicle speed for shifting...nav and radio who knows, Venus aligned with Saturn?

This has happened to me several times - the first time really freaked me out - I thought the car had had a nervous breakdown!! - its caused by the battery voltage going low - maybe because you had the doors open or the radio on whilst working on the car? that's what keeps catching me out !
