Closing sunroof starts opening.

It moves forward to closed position and then starts opening. Maybe it feels nice weather, so there is no reason for it to be closed.

Any ideas?

Check the track and guides. Ensure the pins for the plastic covers visible from inside the car are fully seated in the track mechanism.

The sliding roof incorporates an 'anti-trap' feature so body parts do not get severed. As abonano stated, if the tracks offer enough resistance, the motor reverses.
