Coolant Leak
I have 64 bit Win10 and it runs fine?
Does the Torx have a pin in the center? Kinda looks like it and that would mean it's a security Torx and uses a different bit. But they are cheap and easy to get.

They are normal torx not the safety, unless someone replaced them. Hit everything with some type of lubricant, I have recently started using Free All stuff works great we use it at work all the time on jet engines.
K making progress, if I can get all those feisty hoses free i can slide the manifold off. Back breaker of a job. Wonder what the dealer would charge to replace that heater hose or knock sensors lol

Mission complete. I’d say for a shade tree mechanic like me it was no easy task. It didn’t help that the $35 hose fused onto the thermostat housing. It should also be illegal to use a hose that is glued together as well as it should be a crime to put a coolant hose there in the first place. I’m probably going to be back in there for the knock sensors and intake gaskets one day but hopefully not anytime soon. Thanks for all the help clubairth, nbcat and rayzsurfer.

Yea they are always fused like you say! A fight all the way around.
For the cost of the car I would have expected at least Silicon hoses instead of the old time EPDM stuff.
But good job and thanks for reporting back!
Feels good to fix something too.

I’m still in the process of getting mine back together I figure since I had the intake off I’d replace plugs and coils, and then I found that the cam cover gaskets were leaking so I’m doing those as well.
Glad to hear you got it done! Congrats!

It’s possible it just separated due to the amount of time and heat it’s endured for two decades. I know mine was probably hanging on for dear life for at least a decade lol. The knock sensors can go bad which are also under the intake and then there is the intake gaskets. Rock auto is pretty good for sourcing parts I used Amazon for my heater hose that rayzsurfer linked
So not sure if there’s still air in the system but she starts overheating about 30 mins in. Maybe the head gasket is toast after all. Going to check thermostat as I have a brand new one and change ect sensor with new one also.

I don’t think you would have dislodged that tube since it is not connected to the thermostat housing might just be with age or jostling the hose that goes to the throttle body enough to loosen it.
