Both my door mirrors on my S type year 2007 are not fully working, folding and unfolding. I took off the coloured covers and they seem to have corrosion around some parts does anyone know how to get access to the fixings so I can take them off to hopefully clean and get them to work properly

 

You will need to take out the glass.

Adjust the mirrors to their inward position.

Place your thumb on side of the mirror closest to the door and hold.

Then gently pry the glass out from the outer edge. It will just pop out.

With the backs off you will have access to both sides.

Jaguar 2007 S-Type Driver side mirror won't close or open have to do it manually. Sounds as if the gears are slipping inside. Unsure of where to start to investigate.

Hello Allnlu, Sorry cant comment on your problem but If when I get my door mirror off I will be posting some pictures that may help you,my ones don't sound like the gears are slipping they just slow down and stop.
