The R is terrible in the snow, just terrible. I am assuming you have a 3.0? With some good snows on there, Im sure it will be just fine. For those of you worried about the salt......WASH IT

3.0 isn't much better... Same suspension and weight. I have type R wheels so same tire sizes. And more than enough power to break traction just as easily in the snow.

I agree with the wash it sentiment, but I wont drive my S when there's actually snow on the ground. It still ends up covered in salt so it gets washed regularly.

Take care,

George

I think my S type 3.0 is pretty decent in the snow. The DSC is very aggressive, (too aggressive in nornal conditions, I think) but does a good job of keeping you out of harm's way.

The main thing is good tires. I'm running Conti UltraContacts DSWs, in the original size. They are excellent in the snow.

The 3.0 is great in snow as long as you have good tires, and decent snow driving skills..

The STR (and George's 3.0) will be worse, but is not related to power but more related to tire / wheel size... Unfortunately the STR brakes won't allow an STR driver to slap on a set of 17" wheels and tires for winter.
