Of course everyone of you. I really appreciate your concern and details you wrote about how O2 sensor work etc. I would have *explicitly* appreciated that. Sorry for that.

Thanks to all of you (great guys)

BTW, This weekend I had my car tinted, put the Mesh Grill Insert, Changed the Cabin Filter (My God that place was full of craaaaaaaaaaap!!!! But I made it look like a mirror before I put the new filter in :P), changing wiper inserts in 1-2 days and then car is going to workshop on Wednesday and then ready for Photo shoot . Will Post pics...

THANKS GUYS, You help people's jag run, run and run

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

OK Guys,

I was told by repair shop that there are these problems:

1) O2 sensor is bad.
2) Oil Pan Gasket is leaked.
3) Some security system error code (only fixable by Jaguar).

So they can fix 1 and 2 for me:

$97 Diag (Which has already been done)
$191 O2 Sensor
$489 for Gasket
+ Tax

$824 :S.........

I don't know how much Jaguar Dealer will suck from me if I ever go to them for security system codes...

Replacing Gasket doesn't seem to be a Rocket Science to me even except it might be a time consuming task.

PS: I don't know why they found Gasket Leak as I didn't notice any oil loss in 4 months. Is it possible at 43000 Miles? Or leak might be sooooooo minor?

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Rizwan

Forum member joycesjag (Rick) had to replace his leaking oil pan gasket in 2009. He did it himself. Perhaps he'll chime in here and give you the information you need....

What size motor do you have?

I read through the whole thread and could not find it, I'd hate to assume.

I posted up for both 4.2L and 3.0.

In post #5, you stated that you have an extended warranty. Are these items needed for the repair not included ???

@Mafioso

Its V6 3.0. I'll put it in my signature now.

@Jayt2

Just talked to warranty people and they told me both are covered repairs .

@Jon89

I think, this should be relatively simple to do. I have read some tutorials and watched some videos. Would love if someone can post it with pictures. (For everyone to avoid this expensive job though parts + oil + filter does not go over $100).

I'm going to have my O2 sensor fixed and will wait for gasket to be done on next oil change (Which I think is very minor otherwise it would have drained whole load of oil in 4.5 months of ownership without any topup).

Thanks a lot guys.

Will post up once I have any update on repair.

Thanks & Best Regards,
Rizwan
