Default Engine problem?

I drove car to breakfast this morning and ran fine. Came out a hour later and started, shook and ran rough and only idle. No response to throttle even wide open? It restarted and died several times till I gave up. Seems like no fuel? The engine is a 2005 3.0 There was a check engine light on recently. (02 sensor) Anything to try before being towed?

Do a hard reset with the battery. Can't hurt. Mine did something similar about 5 years ago. Never found out what it was and it's never (touch wood) come back.

Somewhat easy to do. Search here or YouTube for DIY video.

Read codes, post back.

Or could be a big air leak.

It won't like a bad O2 and can damage a cat so plan to fix that too.

Tried the reset but no luck. I'm having the battery charged and tested now just in case it has something to do with low voltage? I was out of town for 2 weeks and the battery was probably down but it started and ran fine so I figured the problem is something else.

Car has 68,000 miles. I have not changed the fuel filter in the short time I have owned the vehicle. I found the 15 amp fuse for fuel pump to be blown!
It still will not start and the new fuse is not blown. I suspect a bad fuel pump? I gave up and had the car towed to a repair shop. It's 95 in the shade and too hot in the middle of a parking lot.

Guessed rite, needs a fuel pump. $800. quote for part. Found Delphi FG1712 online for about half price but everyone needs to order it? Checked to see if a Lincoln LS pump might work but no information found. Any have a Ford # that works on a 2005 3.0 v-6?
