Spoke to brake performance again, the fronts are 10% off right now, but they no longer make the rear premiums in slotted/dimpled! Only place I can find the 13" drilled/dimpled/slotted rears is on ebay, all four are $468 and you get rebated $9 in ebay bucks in the fall...

Got the slotted/dimpled fronts installed last week along with EBC Red Stuff pads DP31462C(Amazon $68), could not be happier, I repeat could not be happier. Night and day from the grabby stock pads at low speeds and in my opinion have more stopping power when I WANT it. Now I can actually creep to a stop light or be in stop in go traffic without being annoyed at the braking.

I have heard not one peep out of the brakes, no noise whatsoever. On a side note, they look great as well I went with all silver, no black.

Apparently I'm going to have the same fronts, in silver and will be forced to buy the ebay drilled rears as they only come in silver. I will call brake performance to order and see if I can't find out more about the rears...

Interesting. I have stock pads and not grabby at all. I am forever having to creep forwards at stop lights but have never had any hint of a problem.

The stock pads over here at least are just gawd awful. Worst I've ever experienced on a car. So maybe they're a different spec in the UK or it's changed since the cars were new and you have the later type?

They also made an awful mess of everything around the wheels.

It's a real issue here at least.

Called brake performance (BP) again and inquired about the rears...What this rep told me was there are currently not available and I should called weekly to see if they get any in stock. Two weeks ago, I got an email from a different rep who apparantly researched it more and he said they will be no longer offering the rears in dimpled/slotted. I ended up going with the ebay rotors. Buying the $266 silver dimpled/slotted fronts from BP and $200 silver drilled/slotted rears from ebay is probably the best way to go. I didn't have the luxury of time waiting for BP to ship their rotors, 7 business days for my state. I'm going see if my stock rotors are turnable and if so will put them up for sale...

I wouldnt consider it a "problem" but it is rather annoying and the best way i can describe it is "grabby". I have to inch continuously apply/let off/apply slowly when coming to a stop. That annoyance has now disappeared with the EBC Red Stuff's. From other threads i was under the impression that this was prevelant with stock pads?

The excesive crap that the stocks spit out onto the rims is a WHOLE different animal. That issue alone is worth putting ceramics on, add the improved braking and its almost a necessity.

You made the right move. Isn't it just such a gosh darn relief? So simple a change with such dramatic results.

I just don't understand why Jaguar didn't get this right from the beginning. The stock pads are just horrible. No other way to describe them.

If anyone reading this thread hasn't swapped their pads out (STR) yet GO DO IT TODAY.

Are the rears "brand name"? Do you have a link to the seller and part#?
