Use key in lock.

You'll kick yourself when you finally notice the boot lock!! Under the J A G U A R, I think near the U.

Worth lubricating & using at least once a year, so it works when you need it.

OK if you can't open boot ,for any reason with the key ,if you have access to jump leads and spare battery or doner car then open bonnet connect pos lead to alternator, neg to earth on car press boot open button on fob that will give you access to boot and dead battery

Also, there is an emergency battery jumping terminal under the lining of the passenger side front wheel just forward from the door.

But try the key, first... ;-)

Use extreme caution if you jump it off the alternator. There is a reason Jaguar put the post in the wheel well and not on the alternator. They are not cheap to replace.

Default boot open

no I should have been a little clearer you are not jump starting the car ,connecting only to get boot open .No engine should be running at all ,just power from doner battery to open boot ,..

thx all, i did find the keyhole.... its up underneath to one side,, i guess one must remember that it doesnt look like a traditional key hole as the key is not a traditional shape. i just put up a new post... battery is charged all is running, but the check engine light is now on.....

That is because your battery was low and many components rely on it. You
will have to take to an Autozone or O`Reily and they can test it with a
code reader and clear those caused by low battery.

Bought my car a month ago and the battery was dead at the dealer, had
the same problem with check engine light when they got it recharged. New
battery to, they think someone looking at it left a light on.

Went and bought my own code reader after getting home.
