I have codes po 113, po302, po102 replaced mass airflow sensor but no change the connecting wires are frayed could that be the cause of poor idling it also surges when driving over 50 mph rpm tack jumps a tiny amount also. This is a 2000 s type v8

Checked your coil packs? You may have an intermittent misfire.

po -> p0
then look them up using Search or get the free downloads here or on JagRepair.com - Jaguar Repair Information Resource

Also, move to S-Type forum.

All wires need to make good connections.

Have you changed the chain tensioners? Engine is on borrowed time if not.

1. I've moved your post from General Tech Help to S-Type forum

2. here's the extract from the Jaguar DTC lookup for the error codes:

See the possible causes for each of the codes in the right hand column.

Replace coil on cyl #2 and check electrical connector to fuel injector on cyl #2 as well - make sure the plastic connector is fully seated on the injector. Coil location: (Passenger side of motor - 2nd cylinder from front of engine) also, if you have any frayed/burnt wires you have to cut the bad sections out and solder new sections of proper gauge wiring)

+1 on the good advice above. Given the number of kilometres/miles on the vehicle, you may also want to replace the spark plugs, cam cover gaskets and spark plug boss seals.

If there is oil fouling of the ignition coil(s) due to bad spark plug boss seals, the coil(s) may need to be replaced.
