Default Looking for a little help.

Hi guys, I wonder if you could give me and ultimately fellow Jaguar owners a little help, and spare 5 minutes of your time?

I've recently needed to do some work on the File Download Library that was created for the forum some time back.

If you can spare 5 minutes, please will you follow the Download link in my signature and select the S Type section.

When you are taken to the Mediafire site, please would you then visit the Technical Guides section or any of the other sections for that matter and then Download one of the files.

I'm not asking you to download any of the massive files, one of the small files will do.

It's just that with currently hosting around 1000 files there are simply now too many for me to check individually 'again'!

If you are able to help.

Please post the title of the file into this thread, and show OK/NOK.

In this way it will allow me to perform a random check.

You never know, there could be something that interests you.

Many thanks in advance, you help will be much appreciated.

Richard

(PS if you have any files that you want adding, drop me a line).

TESTED

S-type.TSBS204-12.Premature_Wear_On_Inner_Tread_Edge_Front_Tires_ Modified_Toe_Specification.pdf
Supercharger removal instructions. OK
S_2005_S-TYPE.pdf OK
S-Type Accessories.pdf OK
1584.pdf OK
S303-16 V6-V8 engine management diagnosis OK.

It tried to get me to change browser, I refused, and got a mostly blank web page.

So, not able to download anything at all.

I'm using firefox and it has worked for me for years everywhere except a vanishingly tiny few places.

(I had followed your link, then chose S-Type)

edit: same in google's browser (chrome/chromium)

I also use Firefox but didn't get the same restriction as JagV8. The full folder tree displays in MediaFire. Downloaded the following small TSB as a test:

S-type.TSBS204-12.Premature_Wear_On_Inner_Tread_Edge_Front_Tires_ Modified_Toe_Specification.pdf

OK

Graham

I tried with Firefox too, I was asked to upgrade my browser, FF was an option, I declined and got a blank page.
Shut down FF and restarted and got no message and all was well.
Downloaded Supercharger removal instructions. OK

Thanks guys, the more the merrier (helps prevent inactive file removal).

For info, my default is FF (14.0.1), but use Opera as a faster backup browser.

Please join in.

I have cookies disabled for most sites so maybe the site cannot cope with that.

It's now illegal to just require cookies without getting informed consent in the EU (European Union). Note the word "informed". (Not that USA sites will take any notice, I suppose.)

Downloaded S-Type Accessories.pdf just fine in Firefox 13.0.1 with NoScript 2.4.8 (set to allow mediafire.com, obviously).

Chrome downloaded 1584.pdf fine - don't we need a checklist here Richard - or don't you want us to work through all the files?

Not necessary to work through all the files. LOL a random sample is what I was looking for, from the viewpoint of, if two or three are still working within a group then the others are most likely OK.

People tend to let me know if they find a broken link.

(PS, copied the downloaded titles into the first post above)
