Default Low fuel pressure 2000 s v8

Hi guy's.
This is my first time on a forum of any kind. I like to start by saying that I am a weekend mec. My car has about 35,000 mi. I was running good until 1 day went to start it and started running bad and misfiring. .
Checked pressure and it was 40psi at idle.no codes.
Replaced fuel pump .fuel pump hose and fuel filter with no joy.got a mitchell account and looked it up but wont help since I got no codes
I wold apreciate if any one can give me any input its been a month taking rides from friends.thanks.

The fuel pressure will vary depending on how the car is driven but 40 psi at idle sounds good.

Do you have the JTIS? It will tell you what the fuel pressure should be. You have spent a good amount of money but I don't see where the pressure is low?

The JTIS is free on this forum and is the factory shop manual.

Yes after reading I find out that the pressures were for an 05.
So if the pressure is good . there are no active codes.or anything off on plain view.what path should I follow? ? Cuz it just won't rev up at all it stumbles pretty bad

What does the fuel pressure do when you rev it up?

Have you driven the car while monitoring the fuel pressure?

I am sorry,
I meant to say that the pressures stay the same but the car runs so bad that I can't even drive it.as soon as I start it it shakes and when I rev it it really misfires and wants to die

Could be bad coils or an air leak, not to mention blocked fuel filter or even bad fuel.

please correct me if I'm wrong but I believethat if it was a bad coil I would have to have 3 or 4 out for it to run this bad.as I mentioned before fuel filter is new.The problem happened from running great and shutting it down for 20 minutes and re starting. My next move will be the cam.or the map ?? How can I bench test it ??

In case it's so bad then timing is #1 suspect and needs urgent check as damage can be severe within moments. (Will be if it has jumped and jumps any more or things break up.)
