Default My trunk won't open

Don't yo just hate it when you can't figure stuff out? I know there are things to learn, but I thought that popping the trunk was pretty elementary. I could at first, but now cannot, pop the trunk from inside the car. I can only do it with my remote. Any ideas? We are going to check the fuses today.[sm=yeahsmile.gif]

I don't have prints in front of me, but I would guess that fuse for trunk release would not care how it is told to open, remotely by FOB or by button, if fuse was no good, trunk would not open. Hmmmmm . . . another perplexing Jag issue . . probably a simple fix . . .

My trunk does the same thing. The problem is it's so intermittent that I can never get it fail when I'm troubleshooting the issue. I suppose I'll wait for the switch to fail entirely and then replace it. The gas filler door does the same thing occasionally.

try the valet button that is in your glove box. If the car is in valet mode you cant open the trunk from inside the car or with the button on the back, just with the remote.

This gets my vote for the first place to check.

Mine is the same way, I just have not yet looked into it, the valet option sound like a good start.
