Default need help...

I had not moved the S-type in about three weeks, so today I went to move it and the battery was dead.Once I gave it a jump I took it out for a spin so the battery could charge up.This is when I noticed that the parking brake, traction control, and I forget what the third light was that was on? Get this the speedometer was also out? WTF could have caused this? This happened late last night so I was not able to check any fuses or anything. Is there anything that I can do myself to resolve the problem or do I need to schedule another visit to my Jaguar dealer? Oh and I'mgetting a new battery today.

Everything was working prior to the battery going dead. I should add that the other instuments and even the time on the Navi was working fine.

It seemsone of the side effects of having a duff battery is various obscure electrical faults

It sure does when you disconnect the battery, so when you changed it, the computer did a soft reset. To do a hard reset, disconnect the positive terminal and hold it on the ground terminal for about 2-3 minutes.
