Default New mod?

I wouldn't call it a mod, but I was cleaning my engine compartment today, and thought to myself "it might look better if the supercharged writing stood out". So I found an old paint pen and went over it a few times

Looks really good Michael, I've seen some similar but with RED writing.

The Red as with Calipers seems to stand for Power / Sportiness etc and may be an even better choice.......whats your thoughts?

Thanks for sharing

I was thinking red at first, but as my car is JRG, I didn't want to look like Christmas. I think it would like great if you had a black/white/silver car.

Thanks for the suggestion Mike. Going to do "it" in either red or black...but first; How many rwhp is it worth?

lolol! at least 5 per letter!

I used the hobby paint pens to do it. It seemed to work better if I blotted it versus using it like a paint brush

Looks good Michael.
I think I agree the red would be to much.

Looks very nice. Love the silver/black contrast.

Did you strip or media blast the intercoolers or is the STR version not painted like the XKR intake is?

Nope, the STR doesn't come painted. Usually there is a black plastic cover over it, but when I bought mine it was missing.

Looks like this:

So ... have you scheduled a chassis dyno appointment yet?

Some of the earlier XJRs had much nicer looking intercoolers. God forbid I ever have to change the coolant hose but if I do I think dressing up the intercoolers would be a nice touch.

Given the black center and valve covers with silver lettering I think wrinkle black paint with either brushed or polished lettering would be nice.

Here's how I did one of my cars:
