Who would have installed a multimedia screen on their S Type that takes the place of the old original console?

This looks great but I would like some opinions before I start.

For the moment, its screens can be found on Aliexpress, or even in the USA.

I know zero about the ones on AliExpress, but as you likely know there is a company called "Jagdroid" out of the UK that looks decent. Thinking of it myself. They have how-to vids.

I just looked at the Jagdroid site.

It's not the same system at all.

Jagdroid keeps the original screen and I don't find it "very beautiful"...

Take 5 minutes of your time to look at the “Tesla type” screen sold on Aliexpress....

You will see that it is really "something else"

Have seen the unit upgrades for s-type from AliExpress and they don't look that dramatically different to me. Could you provide a link you're looking at? Thanks

choose Android 12 car radio, 8 GB/256 GB, GPS navigation, stereo, 2 DIN, central unit, player for employees type 2001 to 2009 (or different power)

You then have to look at the products in the same category and take the “cheapest” one.....because on Aliexpress, the stores are only resellers.

 

Thanks. I've seen these and have no clue if they're any good. Is that price correct? I'm messing around mirroring my cell phone ot a dash-mounted tablet.

 

Do you need to have the factory nav to be able to use this? I like this option and would go this route but I have the regular radio screen with the HVAC controls as a separate unit on top of the radio controls. I am wondering if the HVAC system will work and be plug and play. Does anyone know or have one of these?

I think it can be done but you'll have to supply a core screen for them to work on.

I'm going to wait a bit and look at buyer reviews from time to time. (you can do it on Aliexpress)
All I can say is that I had contact with a French seller who told me that the installation was very easy. But I don't know why he sold his screen.
