One. Simple. Question.
O.k., folks. This is not a trick question. I'll tell you why I'm asking after I receive your answers.
You have a 4.2 litre S, normally aspirated. You put the car on a lift
and drain the oil and replace the filter with an official Jaguar filter.
You put the drain plug back in, tighten, and lower the car so it is
perfectly level.
The Question: How many U.S. quarts do you add to the motor
to bring the level on the dipstick to 'full'?

You add a bit less than the above then check the level and top up as needed. Start engine, run for a short time, switch off, wait, recheck, top up, etc. I would not measure the actual amount...
Some is always left in when you drain. The above works regardless of how much
I put paint marks on both filter and drain plug after tightening.

Nix on the Lucas. No snakes oils of any type needed.

05+ STR takes closer to 7.5 quarts with the extra oil cooler. I would estimate it to be about 7.3. I end up buying 2 5qt jugs for an oil change then just get one for the next and use the 2.5 left from the first. Cheaper that way.
Any decent oil of the right spec is fine. To clean the fuel system (really, the injectors) try .... hmm, I think it's called BG44 over there? Er, change fuel filter first as it's easy and cheap
