Default P IIII no dtc definitions found

I have a 2005 s-type with 128k. It has been shifting strange lately, kind of hard shift I guess. Seems like a transmition problem of some sort. I had the car scanned at auto parts store and it threw the code
PIIII No DTC Definition Found
Does anyone know if thats related to the shifting problem?

Default thanks

Thanks for your response. I don't know much about cars and didn't understand much of the link but it does appear that the code and the problem are connected. Is there a national chain you would reccomend as a trans shop? I have a local place I could use if not.

P1111 means all good. The trans shifting may or may not produce a code. First thing I would try is going to a Jag or LR dealer (one that has a Jag tech) then have them do the trans adaptation clear then a readaptation. If this doesn't fix the concern then the nature of the concern must be checked. A trans module reflash may be needed. If all else fails and you need a transmission then call Mike at manhattaneuroparts.com. He can get a good price on a ZF reman trans. If you need any further help with it, give me a shout.

Also, the correct codes - see the FAQs here - have far more data.
