Have you compared the 2 different plugs to see if the distance of the electrode to the shoulder where the plugs bottom out is the same?

I've just checked mine and the distance is the same so go for NGK R TR6AP-13E or just use the ones that you've already bought if the distance that I mentioned is identical.

You also need to fill in your car details in your profile so it makes answering questions that much easier.

Is the plain section smaller than the root of the thread?
It looks like they would both screw in the same distance and seat where you have the red line. I'd be happier with the new ones if that is the case.

Angry AWSF 22 FS Plugs

Just ran into this problem on my X-Type plugs fitted were AWSF22FS Plugs that Jaguar gave me are TR6AP13E

Be warned regardless of what you are told these plugs are NOT the same item.
The thread length is not an issue this is fine however the ceramic body of the NGK plug is a different diameter to the AWSF version and WILL NOT fit the coils correctly.

If you use these you will need to fit new coils otherwise the car will misfire due to loose fit and tracking of the HV.

Just had a big discussion with my Local Jag dealer over this.

Can someone please verify this???
The photo does indicate smaller diameter ceramic.

"Just ran into this problem on my X-Type plugs fitted"

Apologies overlooked that.
The S-type 2002 onwards shares the same coil plugs, which exempts the 2000 model.

Still worth a double-check.
