Default Ordering parts

**never mind someone answered this for me*

So I'm trying to order a part for my car. I found the part for my specific make and model year but it's say S Type 00 4.0 8-244, L.

I have a 2000 s type 4.0L but how do I know if those number 8-244 apply to me? and where do I look at on my vin number to find out? (im assuming thats where I need to look.)

I know this is sad. :-( lol

No idea what the 8-244 means but doesn't appear like any Jaguar part I've ever seen so where did you get that? If not jag, then ask the place you got the code

8-244 means 8 cylinders, 244 cubic inches. Basically the displacement of the motor. in SAE terms.

Wow, those must be some tiny pistons, or a really short stroke...
