Default radio, and climate control will not display

I have a 2005 S-Type Jaguar, and I've been experiencing an issue for about 6 months now. When I start the car, the radio and climate control lights don't display until I've been driving for a while. I tried replacing the radio, but the problem persists. Whatever settings were on the radio and climate control when I turned off the car are the ones I have to deal with until the display lights come back on the next day. I could really use some help with this. Thank you!

Are those things getting power?
Do you have a meter so you can troubleshoot this?
Do you have the electrical diagrams for your car?

Hard to say without doing some troubleshooting?

The description you give suggests that your battery is marginal. Yes, the engine starts, but the electronic modules are not receiving sufficient voltage until you have driven far enough/long enough to bring the battery charge up. Battery first, before looking for any other cause.

Very good point by Sov211! Battery should be the first stop when troubleshooting these cars.

Well, there is your answer. The electronics in your car have been put on a low voltage diet. They don’t like that.
You need a new, fully charged (FULLY charged) battery. New batteries are rarely fully charged at purchase so you will want to make sure that it is brought to full charge before installation.

Thanks so much! I have it on my battery charger now it's at 76%. Note the battery is almost 3 years old. May need to get a new one.

I would just bite the bullet and buy a new battery. Your car definitely needs it.
