Radio code - RESOLVED

Radio code - RESOLVED
06 stype vdp, nav, bluetooth, premium sound.
This is precautionary: I can't find anything in the docs I received when I bought the beast used that give me the code I punch into the radio when the battery's been disconnected. Any help?

If you call into Jaguar's 1800 number, they will provide it to you once you show proof of ownership of the car.
Although, on another note, I do not think you need the code when you change the battery. I changed batteries on 2 S-type's already, and neither of them asked for the code.

There doesn't seem to be a pattern of model / year / dealership to this.
Where a coded radio is fitted, disconnecting the battery loses the code and it has to be input again when power is restored.

I contacted Jaguar at jagweb1@jaguarlandrover.com (same source I used to get the original equipment list for my beast) and attached a PDF of my title with the request. Two days later back they came with the code. Nice.

I've added 'RESOLVED' to your thread title so anyone in the US searching for the way to get hold of the code in future can follow the same request procedure.

I am wanting to do a reset by disconnecting from the battery, and am a bit anxious that I might need to re-enter the code. The previous owner had the original battery replaced. That is all I know. On the Audio System Handbook, the previous owner wrote this:
10187
1 pm
(3x3
(2127
(window
washer
I have no idea what these notes are, but is the radio code a 5-digit number? Or ???
Thanks

The only number from the ones written in your Audio System Handbook in the right format is 2127 but it's extremely unlikely you will have a coded radio fitted.

New number to retrieve code
mechemg suggested email address jagweb1@jaguarlandrover.com now bounces.
Just call the very helpful lady in Customer Support on 0845 303 2303. She will give you a correct email address to send a copy of your V5 (to prove ownership) and you get the code.

Hi all,
As distinct from US, each and every car built or sold into Australia must by law, have its radio or entertainment unit, protected by a radio access code.
Code cards, such as posted by Graham (GGG) are mandatory here - whether the car is Rolls, Jag or Mazda "jellybean" - as an anti-theft feature.
I guess it must work - high end units are virtually worthless in the hands of car wreckers/dismantlers. I worry that, even with the mention of EPB and windows, there is a fairly widespread need to improve our knowledge of all potential issues - see my new thread.
Cheers.
