Default Rear vents on console not working

I have a 2001 s-type and just realized that the vents on the end of the center console facing the back seats are not working at all. All other vents are working fine. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Henry

Did you try the "floor setting" on the HVAC panel - be advised the rear console vents really don't blow out to well. Another possibility - the vent hose going through the console might be disconnected at the rear vents in the console - especially evident if the console was removed to service the shifter perviously.

Default RE vents

I had a similar issue was cure by replacing the servo thing for the vents and replacing the foam gaskets throughout the ac system, they had all deteriorated to dust

floor doesnt work for rear vents. if theres no disconnection in the console youll need to close down the center dash vents to increase air flow to the rear. Its nothing more than the path of least resistance. The center dash vents have to be almost closed or closed to really increase the airflow

I did check the vents and they are connected. I shut down the dash vents and did receive a little bit of air flow. I guess this will have to work for now.

Thanks for the information

Mine was simply the flap for the vent was disconnected. (probably the kids messing with the vent too much...) Took the rear vent cover off, popped it into place, and works fine now.
