Rear Window Won't Go Up Unless Driver Door Wide Open
I am having a window problem with my 2006 Jaguar S Type 3.0. The problem started after I blew two fuses in the car using an electric jack off of the cigarette lighter. I replaced the fuses that blew, but now the rear passenger side window will not go up unless the driver door is wide open. It will go down. I tried the self calibration and it did not work. I was hoping there was some kind of an easy fix without bringing it to the dealership. I guess it could be the wires in the door since the window only goes up when the driver door is open. Any suggestions? Would it help if I disconnected the battery and then reconnected it? Would that possibly reset whatever might be going on? Like I said, it was never a problem until I blew the fuses in the car. I am not getting a check engine light so I don't think it is throwing codes. I do have a code reader so I could check and clear the codes if needed. Thanks.
Definitely an odd problem. My first thought was a problem with the wire bundle at the driver's door hinge area. The driver's switches override the individual switches at each door, so that makes me think of a problem there. But then that makes no sense with the blown fuses.
What fuses did you blow? Did you blow the same fuse twice? Or are you talking separate fuses?
When is the last time you had operated that window before the fuse problem? Any chance it had been this way for a while but you hadn't used that window?
