Unhappy Replacement valve cover - S-Type 3 litre

I have an oil-leak from the rear left corner of my 1/3/5 cover (left from front of car). At some time the valve cover has been badly treated and I need to replace it (Ouch it's glued on with no gasket so out with the butcher's knife!)
As I'm having a hard time finding a new cover can anyone tell me if a valve cover from a Ford Duratec 3.0 is a fit. That's what the AJ6 engine was developed from so it sounds possible at least.
Many thanks
PS the right hand cover isn't much better so it would be good to know about both.

What year? I would search Ebay for the 3.0 Jaguar S Type cam covers.

Here are some results if yours is 02+:

S TYPE X TYPE LEFT VALVE COVER DRIVER SIDE STOCK FACTORY 3.0 V6 828-247-4111 | eBay

S TYPE X TYPE RIGHT VALVE COVER PASSENGER SIDE STOCK FACTORY 3.0 V6 828-247-4111 | eBay

Are you sure its not the IMT O-rings that are leaking?

Do the check before you spend the money on replacing the valve cover gasket!

Before I posted this, I searched ebay but didn't find these entries. That's life. As for the IMT O-rings the manifold was off when I/we looked at the valve cover so it was possible to see the state of the cover - it was nearly destroyed. So I'll check the O-rings but I still need a valve cover.

FelPro makes aftermarket gaskets and seals available at any big box auto parts store. IIRC somewhere around $30.00 per set.

I would love to add my vehicle details but I still haven't cracked the "how to". In fact this whole site seems to have been designed for puzzle adicts. I'd be delighted to provide a whole lot of suggestions on making it simpler (for a small fee) but my wife says 45+ years in the IT business is enough.

Go to "User CP" on the left hand side of the screen near the top - then "edit signature".
