I have a 56 plate S type XS with speech cammand Bluetooth etc. My iPhone is paired to the car and I make and receive calls without problems. I can also use my iPhone for sat nav which is ado played through my car speakers. However, sinc the vehicle has built in sat nav I tend to use this in preference to my iPhone. Since my phone is connected in all ways, why can't I stream music from my iPhone to my speaker system? Can any techies assist?

 

As far as I know, the S-TYPE pre-dated the Bluetooth V2 protocol which introduced the capability to stream music ?

 

That sounds logical but I can't get my head around why my sat nav on my smart phone plays through the car speakers? It all too much to grasp for my old brain.

 

Your sat Nav is on the correct protocol , and music streeming is not be it iTunes ,Pandora , or whatever .
You need a veff box , Bluetooth box .
Or an acm plug in . But I'd strongly recommend the veff box . It's great !

+1 on the Veff box. I got one of the early models and use it everyday. Haven't played a CD or radio since. I only stream and love it.
