Default S type window leak and sealing.

Hi there. I'm working on the seal for the windshield. Plan is to use rubber baseboard 4" moulding. Question is will 100% silicone adhesive sealant blk work to adhere to the bottom 1" of glass. So stick to rubber and glass. Or is there a better sealant adhesive such as a polyurethane based sealant such as sika flex? I have made a pattern and cut out the rubber. Next step is to glue to windshield. If successful this will make it entirely sealed. I did some water testing and it rains into the engine currently!
Thanks. John

Why don't you just reseal it properly? There is no gasket as with all new glass it's glued in.

Hello.
tbird6 thanks for the reply. I'm referring to solving the 1" stock rubber seal which is attached to the top of the plastic abs windshield cowel drain system. Water runs right through it drenching the engine. I put a garden hose on the top of the car centered and turned it on with only a 1/4" bead of water running down. The water channeled between the 2 windshield wipers into the center 1" stock rubber and ran righ UNDER it. Some water went over it into the drain system. It then flooded the rear of the engine. The windshield itself does not leak. Thoughts on this are appreciated.

John
