sRS: flash 19, hard code B2293
I pulled the cassette out and cleaned it but still have a flashing 19 and B2293. This points to driver airbag circuit. I'm guessing the cassette is just bad and need replacing. Any other ideas?
There are a few ways to check the circuit. I have an assortment of 2.2 Ohm resistors in the proper harness plug connectors that I substitute for a certain part of the circuit I am diagnosing. You can disconnect the driver's airbag assy and the connector on the lower column. You then use a meter to test the cancellation module continuity. DO NOT TEST WITH AIRBAG IN THE CIRCUIT!!!
You run the risk of deploying the airbag.
The best way is to use a diagnostic scanner that can access the SRS module (B Codes) and use the DATALOGGER to read the Ohms VIA the Module. DO NOT READ THE AIRBAG DIRECT!!
