BTW, I went to the link you provided. Here's a big red flag on that website. Their on-line retailer shows the same pads fitting a 2005 and 2006 STR.
Thanks.

Don't get me wrong they are ok for everyday street use and really great if you hate cleaning the dust from your rims when you use the OE pads.
Just need MORE brakes.
You can try that if they actually do have a size for the car.
There's EBC as well. But if you're really going to drive the car at 9 or 10/10ths around a road corse be prepared for some expensive laps. It's a 4,000lb car, read tank, and those "Brembos" are pretty much eye candy when it comes to real braking capacity for track use. Depending of the track you may cook your rotors. The rears aren't even ventilated.
You could get a set of race-only pads, bed them in properly and then take them off again when you go back on the street. Check to see if Pagid makes pads for this car. You might have to dig a little if it's not listed. You can call their racing division here in the USA. I've always found them to be very knowlegable and helpful.
It be great to find out my hunch is wrong about this so please keep us updated.
