Default STR Brake fluid

I tried searching, but how much fluid does the STR brake system hold?

That will depend upon how worn your pads are. But really, I doubt there's a published figure for that. I don't ever remember seeing it for any car.
Get yourself 2 quarts of new fluid and it should be more than enough. When I changed my pads I also flushed the entire system and I used about a quart.

2 quarts should do it like Bob said if you are doing a flush/fill. I may even buy an extra just in case (I use/like ATE Super Blue).

I haven't found a published capacity either. Maybe jagV8 will know, he seems to have a knack for this type of info.

I didn't use super blue on the STR this time but I have on other cars because you can get the same spec. fluid in blue and clear which helps you know that you've flushed out all of the old fluid. You just alternate colors each time you flush.

Sorry, I don't know - I'd go with previous suggestions. DOT 4 fluid (given as ITT Super Dot 4 in JTIS).

I picked up 2 liters of the ATE super blue from Amazon. Any specific things I need to watch out for when I flush/fill?

Pretty cut and dry process to my knowledge. Avoiding boogering up the bleeder valve hardware is high on the list.

I kind of use a rule of thumb - when I think I have all of the air out, I then bleed a few more times. More of then than not another bubble or two shall spit out.

Are you bleeding via the helper with a foot on the pedal /crack open method or are you using a one man bleeder or vac bleeder?

Two man method. I've tried the vac bleeders and I can't seem to get them to work correctly for me.

I hear ya. If you don't use brand new tube with a Mity Vac, then it's hard to get a good seal on the caliper bleeder nipple (heh...nipple).... I end up using the vac, then for good measure having a helper come out for a few good rounds of pedal pumpin to finish off the job.

So, about the only thing you need to watch out for is making sure your helper knows not to let off the pedal until you tell him/her to!

If you have a STR just be careful about banging up the pretty Brembo calipers!! I have chipped mine a bit. The large tire and wheel combination is pretty heavy.
Also the Brembo's have two bleed ports and the brake fluid will lift the paint on the caliper if left for very long. So wash off the calipers after bleeding. Brake fluid is water soluble and flushes off well.
